Job summary

Knauf Insulation, Inc. in Michigan seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering and maintenance functions, maximizing plant efficiency while ensuring safety and compliance.

You will monitor KPIs, manage CAPEX projects, and drive continuous improvement across maintenance and engineering activities. The role requires a strong focus on safety, quality and cost control within a 24/7 production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field.
• Minimum of five (5) years in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of five (5) years of management experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct engineering and maintenance staff to maximize plant efficiency and safe operations.
• Prepare the annual Engineering and Maintenance budget, schedule expenditures, analyze variances and take corrective actions.
• Pursue technologies to improve safety, product quality, plant profitability and operating efficiency.
• Oversee Maintenance Supervisors and manage the plant's maintenance and engineering activities 24/7.
• Ensure ISO procedures for Maintenance and Engineering are implemented and documented.
• Foster skills development and vendor training to build a capable engineering team.
• Drive employee retention and engagement and promote innovation, collaboration and accountability.
