Job summary

Marathon Cheese Corporation seeks a senior engineering leader to provide technical expertise and leadership across major capital projects, process optimization, and plant support. This role emphasizes safety, quality, lean principles, and continuous improvement in a multi-plant environment.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage engineering directors and contractors, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while aligning with company values and strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 10 years of progressive experience in a Ready To Eat food packaging environment in a large plant or multi-plant organization.
• Demonstrated engagement with company values and ethics.
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders quickly.
• Strong knowledge of plant operations, equipment, and systems.
• Travel up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a safe work environment and team member communications.
• Ensure strong execution standards for direct plant and project engineers, including contractor management.
• Provide engineering leadership for process optimization with safety, quality, and lean principles.
• Execute continuous improvement projects to boost capacity and reduce downtime.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA, USDA, FDA and other safety/quality regulations.
• Support and advance the company Mission, Vision and Values.
• Manage multiple concurrent capital projects across facilities.
• Instill urgency to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
• Lead cross-functional teams for robust decision making.
• Own manufacturing asset inventories and lifecycle management.
• Provide technical leadership in sustainability solutions.
• Support financial improvements in capital spend and operations.
