Job summary

Marathon Cheese Corporation is seeking a Packaging Engineer to manage new packaging development projects and improve existing packaging processes. You will design concepts, evaluate feasibility and costs, work with R&D, marketing, sales, and supply chain, and maintain specifications and cost estimates to ensure product quality and safety.

This role requires strong project management, the ability to lead cross-functional teams, and experience with packaging materials and equipment in the food

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in packaging engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience with packaging materials/equipment in the food industry.
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to develop cost estimates and monitor packaging tests.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new packaging concepts to satisfy customer needs and drive growth.
• Collaborate with sales/marketing, supply chain, R&D, vendors and customers to commercialize packaging.
• Manage multiple projects with timelines and budgets to meet milestones.
• Develop cost estimates for new packaging programs and monitor tests.
• Provide support to operations and qualify new packaging systems.
• Maintain regulatory compliance documentation for food contact packaging materials.
