Pave Talent is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager for a global specialty chemicals client in California. You will set the site's technical direction, own capital projects, and build the engineering team, partnering with operations and R&D across sister sites.

This on-site leadership role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, safety first, Lean and Six Sigma, and delivering reliable, scalable manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or closely related).
• 8 to 12+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing, including leading engineers.
• Hands-on ownership of capital projects and equipment implementation.
• Strong grounding in mechanical systems, process engineering, and reliability & maintenance.
• Working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma.
• Batch chemical, specialty chemical, or electronics materials manufacturing experience.
• High-volume, multi-site, or matrixed organizations.
• CAD, simulation tools, and ERP/MES familiarity.

Responsabilités

• Build the site's technical roadmap and line engineering priorities up with production goals.
• Lead capital projects through planning, budgeting, installation, and validation.
• Design and implement manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action on critical failures and repeat issues.
• Shape the reliability and maintenance strategy that keeps equipment running.
• Drive Lean and Six Sigma improvements in safety, quality, throughput, and cost.
• Hire, mentor, and develop engineers; own performance management and succession planning.
• Bring new technologies, materials, and methods into the site.
