Job summary

Century Aluminum Company in Goose Creek, SC seeks a senior Engineering leader to guide Mt. Holly Engineering, overseeing project and reliability engineering, drafting, and technical services.

You will set standards, drive capital projects, and align engineering resources with safety and business priorities. This role partners with Operations, Maintenance, EHS, Finance, and Corporate teams to deliver technically sound solutions, develop capability, and ensure delivery on plant goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field; Master's degree preferred.
• 7+ years of engineering/manufacturing experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams and projects.
• Licensed PE or equivalent preferred.
• Strong safety, reliability, and capital project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Engineering team and drive capability across the organization.
• Develop and execute engineering and capital projects with clear scope, justification, cost, and schedule.
• Coordinate development of the plant's capital plans (5-year and annual) and ensure technical soundness.
• Provide technical leadership for process, equipment, reliability, and production issues; conduct root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, EHS, Finance, and Corporate resources to achieve plant goals.
