Job summary

Arclin USA is seeking a Plant Engineering Manager II in Tacoma, WA. The role reports to the Plant Manager and leads asset management, capital projects, and maintenance teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include optimization of facilities, controls, and equipment, with a focus on safety, quality, and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and a track record in chemical/paper manufacturing settings.

Qualifications

• Requires BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering; professional licensure preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management experience.
• Experience in chemical or paper manufacturing or related processes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for all plant assets and capital budget spending; tracking and reporting.
• Serve as project manager for capital projects.
• Coordinate with vendors for equipment specs and procurement.
• Hire and supervise maintenance personnel.
• Plan maintenance workload, predictive/preventative maintenance, and space/layout optimization.
• Provide technical advice on plant operations and improvements with cost analyses.
• Develop and improve manufacturing controls and automation; leverage instrumentation and automation.
• Promote consistency in production through automation and controls.
• Lead, participate in PHA, PSSR, and HAZOP.
