Job summary

Arclin in Moncure, NC is seeking a Plant Project Engineer to lead capital projects at our manufacturing facility. You will manage projects from concept through commissioning, working with Plant Manager, Operations, Maintenance and EHS to ensure safety, quality and long‑term profitability.

Strong collaboration and technical oversight are essential. The role requires 5–10+ years in plant/project engineering, hands‑on field support, and experience with capital projects in manufacturing or chemical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5–10+ years in plant/project engineering or related manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with capital projects in manufacturing or chemical processing.
• Experience with contractors/vendors on-site; budgeting and scheduling mastery.
• Strong knowledge of P&IDs, process drawings, equipment drawings, and specs.
• Experience with PHAs, HAZOPs, MOCs, PSSRs and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage capital projects from concept through design, procurement, installation and closeout.
• Develop scopes, schedules, budgets, specs, and execution plans.
• Prepare analyses including life-cycle and equipment selection.
• Review P&IDs and drawings; support startup, commissioning and turnover.
• Coordinate contractors/vendors; ensure safety and quality alignment.
• Monitor budgets, milestones, and project status; communicate with leadership.
• Work with Operations, Maintenance, EHS and Corporate Engineering to improve reliability and profitability.
