Qualifications

Requires a BS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
5+ years of relevant chemical industry experience preferred.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts such as 5S, Kaizens, TPM, etc.
Understanding of process control systems and instrumentation.
Ability to plan, communicate, and document project requirements.

Responsibilities

Ensure EH&S policies and procedures are followed and documented.
Provide technical assistance to increase plant availability and reduce costs; develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks.
Monitor, track and report critical success factors as required.
Work with operations and maintenance to ensure successful project outcomes with common spares and training.
Maximize process performance by understanding workflows and exploring new technologies.
Create work orders for non-emergency equipment needs to improve safety, quality and reliability.
Support audits and participate in improvement tools such as 5S, KPIs and root cause analysis.
Other duties as assigned.
