Job summary

C.H. Guenther is seeking an experienced Engineering and Facilities leader to drive the strategic direction for engineering and maintenance. You will develop capital plans, manage budgets, and coordinate with production, R&D, QA, and maintenance to maximize equipment utilization and efficiency.

You will lead process improvements, teach continuous improvement methodologies, and ensure safe, cost-effective manufacturing while supporting new product introductions and vendor management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Mechanical, Industrial, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in an engineering or process improvement role.
• Experience with CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Lead in the development of annual and multi-year capital plans with engineering and facility management focus.
• Manage capital projects from scope to funding, cost tracking, and timelines.
• Drive facilities process improvement initiatives and lead productivity projects.
• Teach process improvement methodologies to facilities personnel to build a culture of continuous improvement.
• Create and maintain annual operating and capital budgets.
• Assist in plant layout planning for better space utilization.
• Coordinate with R&D, QA, and maintenance to prevent issues and ensure specifications.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are implemented and maintained.
• Stay informed on new manufacturing technologies to reduce costs through efficiencies.
• Support new product introductions and ensure vendor/subcontractor compliance with specs.
• Determine root causes of process problems and drive corrective actions.
• Report ROI for improvements or capital purchases.
• Develop and document SOPs for new equipment and training.
• Manage external/vendor relationships and monitor uptime via software tools.
