Job summary

Guardian Energy Hankinson is seeking a Plant Engineer to drive capital and continuous improvement projects that boost facility profitability. You will support the Production Manager, coordinate Shift Leads, and ensure consistent operations with established SOPs across shifts.

The role requires a Chemical Engineering degree and 2+ years in related plant operations, with proficiency in process modeling tools and data analysis to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
• 2+ years of experience in dry-mill ethanol plant operations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of chemical, food, or fuel production processes.
• Experience with data analysis and KPI monitoring.
• Familiarity with ASPEN or ChemCad modeling.

Responsibilities

• Identify, initiate and execute projects that improve efficiency, increase production and/or reduce operating costs.
• Manage, maintain, and improve KPI monitoring system.
• Maintain records of key production variables (volume, yield, uptime, utilities).
• Review operational data to monitor production and quality, and identify improvements.
• Assist in setting objectives, plan development and performance review of plant performance.
• Assist in maintaining SOPs and communicating with process operators across shifts.
