Job summary

Evonik is seeking a Plant Engineer to lead engineering initiatives, support production, and manage small to medium capital projects across assigned facilities. The role emphasizes safe, cost-effective execution, adherence to cGMP, and continuous improvement of equipment reliability and performance.

The ideal candidate will bring a bachelor’s degree in engineering with manufacturing experience, excellent cross-functional communication, and proficiency with SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with manufacturing experience.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills across functions.
• Proven track record managing capital projects and maintenance programs.
• Experience in chemical or pharmaceutical processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering support for manufacturing operations, including troubleshooting and reliability improvements.
• Lead small capital and technical change projects from concept through startup, on time and within budget.
• Act as Project Manager, Responsible Engineer, or technical consultant for capital projects.
• Develop and execute maintenance and asset management strategies for facilities.
• Drive continuous improvement focused on equipment reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Create and maintain engineering standards, specs, and change control processes.
• Provide technical leadership and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
