Prime Healthcare in Elgin, IL is seeking a skilled healthcare facilities technician to maintain and repair building systems including mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and medical gas systems, while keeping detailed logs for all equipment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, valid state driver’s license, and relevant trade certification; five years in an acute healthcare setting is preferred. This is a full-time, day-shift role with a comprehensive benefits package.

• Five (5) years experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred
• Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blue prints.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Certified and/or licensed in a specified trade that is relative to healthcare engineering (Steam boiler, HVAC, etc)
• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

Maintains and repairs equipment including, but not limited to, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, and medical gas systems. Maintains the building and its related systems. Certified and/or licensed in a specific trade that is directly related to healthcare engineering
