Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a skilled maintenance engineer to manage and repair hospital equipment, ensuring safe building operations in Des Plaines, IL. The role includes logging equipment status and performing routine upkeep on mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and medical gas systems.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in healthcare settings, be able to read schematics/blueprints, hold a valid state driver's license, and possess relevant trade certifications.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred.
• Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blue prints.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Certified and/or licensed in a specified trade relative to healthcare engineering (Steam boiler, HVAC).
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate logs on all equipment in hospital and provides for a safe working environment.

Overview

3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (with rotating weekend coverage)

Responsibilities

Maintains accurate logs on all equipment in hospital and provides for a safe working environment. Maintains and repairs equipment including, but not limited to, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, and medical gas systems. Maintains the building and its related systems. Certified and/or licensed in a specific trade that is directly related to healthcare engineering

Qualifications

• Five (5) years experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred

• Certified and/or licensed in a specified trade that is relative to healthcare engineering (Steam boiler, HVAC, etc)

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $30.00 to $46.74. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
