The purpose of this position is to lend engineering support to the plant production effort and be responsible for engineering activities required to introduce new equipment and technologies to the facility. The position is also responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of facility and customer engineered drawings. This position is responsible for the advancement of CI (Continuous Improvement) within the organization of the facility.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, tightening and loosening grip or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; or sit. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee continually works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals, along with the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment.
