Position: Sr Plant Floor Systems (PFS) Engineer

Lucid Motors is seeking a Sr PFS Engineer for our Casa Grande facilities. The role involves MES and Ignition Platform integration, monitoring, and troubleshooting in operations and maintenance. The engineer will be the primary contact for Manufacturing Technology Systems in production, ensuring business continuity across departments such as Quality, Logistics, Powertrain, BIW, Paint, Stamping, and/or GA.

You Will:

1. Integrate modules, operate solutions, and maintain Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Manufacturing Ignition System (MIS) platforms, provided by Rockwell Automation and Inductive Automation.
2. Establish design principles, best practices, documentation, and maintenance procedures for MES/MIS.
3. Lead software development for Andon screens, KPI dashboards, and manufacturing reports, ensuring data integrity.
4. Assist in project definition, including development, QA testing, and validation of proposals for build management using agile processes.
5. Collaborate with manufacturing teams, line integrators, and vendors during installation and validation to establish connectivity with third-party systems.
6. Ensure system uptime and backups for all MES hardware and software, developing interfaces like web services and XML exchanges.
7. Establish metrics and data collection methods for root cause analysis and continuous improvement, including remote diagnostics.
8. Coordinate with engineering to gather requirements for new projects and define deliverables.
9. Monitor project timelines and goals, assisting project managers with resource planning and direction during team meetings.

You Bring:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, Instrumentation, or equivalent experience focused on plant floor operations.
2. 5-8 years of manufacturing development and launch experience, emphasizing IT applications and plant operations.
3. Proven experience with SCADA, IoT, or MES systems from Rockwell Automation and Inductive Automation.
4. Expertise in SCADA software such as Ignition, Iconics, Cimplicity, or similar.
5. Proficiency in programming languages including SQL, OPC, HTML, Java, Python, C#, Visual Basic.
6. Knowledge of SQL database concepts (DDL, DML, DCL, indexing, joins, subqueries, unions, etc.).
7. Strong understanding of PLC programming (Rockwell, Siemens) and HMI development.
8. Problem-solving skills related to IT, network management, and system design.
9. Experience designing and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
10. Strong analytical skills for translating business requirements into technical solutions.
11. Proficiency in Ignition architecture, licensing, scripting, and reporting.
12. Experience managing large-scale manufacturing system projects.
13. Automotive manufacturing experience, particularly in Powertrain, BIW, Paint, or related areas.
