Job description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing and leading day-to-day operations of the solar power plant.
  • Include operation, maintenance, repair, and monitoring of MMS, PV Modules, Strings, SCB, SMB, PV Inverter, RMU, UPS & Batteries, C&R Panels, RTCC Panels, SCADA System, and associated equipment.
  • Conduct regular maintenance activities, monitor plant performance, and identify areas for improvement to optimize plant performance.
  • Monitor the performance of solar fields, analyze data, and identify opportunities to optimize plant performance.
  • Prepare daily generation reports and analyze data to identify areas for improvement, optimize plant performance, reduce downtime, and increase power generation, resulting in improved efficiency and cost savings.
  • Attend to breakdowns on both AC and DC sides while monitoring the entire plant.
  • Execute O&M activities as per safety and quality guidelines of Preventive, Predictive, Proactive, and Productive Maintenance.
  • Perform major transformer testing methods including Insulation resistance, Winding resistance, Magnetizing current test, Magnetic balance test, Voltage Ratio test, Transformer Turns Ratio test, Vector group test, and Short Circuit test.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing of low-tension (LT) and high-tension (HT) panels and switchgear to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Maintain records and reports of all operation & maintenance activities on site, and prepare monthly reports and AMR.
  • Knowledge of all statutory requirements including Fire NOC, Panchayat Tax, Property Tax, and CEIG.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • We are looking for a well-experienced candidate in electrical engineering with substation and ground-mounted solar system experience.
  • Work experience in O&M planning and execution.
