Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking an Assistant Plant Engineer on 1st shift to oversee maintenance and engineering operations in a meat processing plant. You will drive reliability, safety, and continuous improvement on the plant floor.

You will lead a maintenance team, manage capital projects, and align TPM with production goals while collaborating with the Plant Engineer to ensure safe, efficient operations and strong KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 5+ years in manufacturing.
• 2+ years in a leadership role including team development.
• Proven maintenance and reliability knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee capital project development and post-approval management.
• Collaborate with Plant Engineer on project scheduling and safety standards.
• Lead maintenance with TPM, Preventive/Predictive maintenance, and optimization.
• Optimize scheduling to maximize output and minimize downtime.
• Direct maintenance team and enforce clear responsibilities.
• Champion plant safety through training and procedures.
• Develop KPIs to track maintenance performance and OEE.
• Support employee development and coaching.
