SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide technical support and troubleshoot in the event of production equipment issues at multiple plant locations.
2. Read and analyze electrical drawings, mechanical drawings, and PLC programs to identify issues and propose solutions.
3. Support production preparation:

• Collect specs and information from plant and customer to share and discuss with Japanese equipment suppliers.
• Analyze drawings, technical specs, and other information to confirm equipment and plant operation feasibility.
• Perform equipment setting adjustments and quality confirmations for new components.

Support equipment improvement and modification:

• Collect desired and/or required specs and information from plant and customer to share and discuss with Japanese equipment suppliers.
• Support plant and maintenance on day-to-day improvements by physically working on equipment with maintenance (electrically and mechanically).

Instruct and supervise local contractors for installation, removal, and relocation of equipment.

Communicate with maintenance staff and provide expertise on equipment.

Apply technical knowledge to understand and carry out instructions from Japanese equipment suppliers in written, verbal, and/or diagram form.

Complete machine quality confirmation records and other required documentation at each plant.

Provide answers and advice on technical questions from customers and suppliers.

Utilize IoT data to support plants and prevent machine downtime.
