This position reports to the Plant Manager.Your Day to Day:Complete safety requirements as assignedHold direct reports accountable for completing assignmentsManage the Asset Care & Reliability (AC&R) Program for continual improvements to maintenanceManages plant-driven capital projects:Prepare, organize, document, and archive project documentation. Communicate risks to project timeline and budget as needed.Coordinate, review, provide oversight, and ensure safety compliance of suppliers and contractor activities for all aspects of the project on and off siteEnsure compliance to technical specifications and contracts for equipment and services for all aspects of projectsCoordinate, review, provide oversight and manage external engineering resources and consultants as neededProvide direct field or on-site leadership of internal project resources and external contractor and sub-contractor personnel and resources as required to achieve project goals and deliverablesDevelop and manage long-term Capex programsOversee the purchasing of MRO materialsSupport, develop and drive productivity improvementsManage and control plant energy programManage, control and report spend for plant maintenance budgetOversee and coordinate Information Technology activities, acting as a liaison with the corporate IT department.Manages a staff of salary employees; sets direction and deploys resources.Responsible for performance evaluations, performance coaching, hiring, on-boarding, training and terminating.This position is on-call and is contacted frequently during upset conditionsAppropriately administer and apply plant and corporate policiesMay be required to perform other related duties as assignedWhat You Bring to the Team:Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years' maintenance/plant/project engineering experience and 5 years of work experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing/industrial environmentWorking knowledge/understanding of ERP SystemsThorough knowledge of environmental and safety Local/State/Federal rules/regulationsStrong leadership skillsManages a staff of 3 salary/40 hourly union employees, sets direction and deploys resources.
