Job summary

Johns Manville is seeking a Plant Engineer in Penbryn, NJ to lead maintenance, capital projects, and reliability initiatives. You will manage a team, coordinate contractors, and ensure safety and environmental compliance while driving productivity and cost controls.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, 5+ years in maintenance/engineering with leadership experience, and strong ERP/SAP knowledge. Competitive pay with benefits and an incentive bonus are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years' maintenance/plant/project engineering experience and 5 years of work experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Working understanding of ERP Systems

• Strong leadership skills
• Manages a staff of 3 salary/40 hourly union employees, sets direction and deploys resources. Responsible for performance evaluations, pay reviews, hiring, and terminating.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Asset Care & Reliability (AC&R) Program for continual improvements to maintenance
• Manages plant-driven capital projects
• Prepare, organize, document, and archive project documentation
• Communicate risks to project timeline and budget as needed
• Coordinate, review, provide oversight, and ensure safety compliance of suppliers and contractor activities
• Ensure compliance to technical specifications and contracts for equipment and services for all aspects of projects
• Coordinate, review, provide oversight and manage external engineering resources and consultants as needed
• Provide direct field or on-site leadership of internal project resources and external contractor and sub-contractor personnel and resources as required
• Develop and manage long-term Capex programs
• Oversee the purchasing of MRO materials
• Support, develop and drive productivity improvements
• Manage and control plant energy program
• Manage, control and report spend for plant maintenance budget
• Oversee and coordinate Information Technology activities, acting as a liaison with the corporate IT department
• Manages a staff of salary employees; sets direction and deploys resources.
• Responsible for performance evaluations, performance coaching, hiring, on-boarding, training and terminating.

Pay Range

$129,600.00-$178,200.00 Annual

This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.

Your Day to Day:

• Provide direct field or on-site leadership of internal project resources and external contractor and sub-contractor personnel and resources as required to achieve project goals and deliverables
• Develop and manage long-term Capex programs

• This position is on-call and is contacted frequently during upset conditions
• Appropriately administer and apply plant and corporate policies

What You Bring to the Team:
