Job summary

Smithfield Foods in Wisconsin is seeking an Electrician to join our maintenance team at a fast-paced pork processing plant. You will ensure safe and efficient operation of electrical systems, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventative maintenance to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and 2+ years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Electrical System Maintenance: Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems including motors, control panels, lighting, wiring, and power distribution with routine inspections.
• Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and fix electrical issues to minimize downtime and keep production running.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow safety protocols and OSHA/NEC codes to ensure a safe workplace.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work with maintenance and plant teams and document repairs clearly.
• General Plant Support: Assist with equipment upgrades and plant-wide electrical needs.
