Job summary

Green Plains Inc. is seeking an EHSS Manager to oversee environmental, health, safety, and regulatory compliance at the plant level.

The role reports to the VP of EHSS and collaborates with the Plant Manager, directing programs, training, and investigations to foster a zero-harm work environment. The position may lead EHSS Specialists or Assistants and requires 5 years of EHSS experience, a science/engineering degree, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or related field is required.
• 5 years of experience in EHSS, preferably in management.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations in EHSS.
• Ability to lead people and projects and travel seasonally.

Responsibilities

• Manage facility air and water permits, regulatory records and reports.
• Conduct EHSS training in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Promote EHSS awareness and monitor compliance at the plant.
• Lead an EHSS committee and communicate with stakeholders.
• Implement policies to exceed required regulations and support corporate initiatives.
• Investigate EHSS incidents and near misses; implement containment and corrective actions.
• Maintain regulatory records for inspections and timely reporting.
• Assist with improvement projects and develop a strong EHSS team.
