Job summary

EnerSys is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Manager for the Springfield, MO site. The role oversees development and implementation of EHS programs, ensuring compliance with regulations and driving safety improvements across the plant.

The position requires a BS in a related field and 5+ years of EHS experience; a Master’s degree with 7+ years is preferred. Regular, full-time, on-site work with responsibilities across training, reporting, and liaison with agencies.

Qualifications

• Four-year Bachelor of Science degree in related field and 5+ years experience in EHS or equivalent.
• Masters Degree with 7+ years of experience in environment, health and safety preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements plant EHS programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Interprets and enforces facility compliance requirements for ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and OSHA VPP.
• Conducts risk assessments and drives accident reduction initiatives.
• Maintains EHS records and reports to regulatory agencies; communicates with agencies as needed.
• Trains employees on EHS/WC programs and regulatory requirements.
