Job summary

EnerSys is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety Technician for the Springfield, MO plant. The role supports workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and implementation of safety protocols across the site.

You will conduct inspections, lead safety training, and help develop procedures to reduce incidents. The position requires two years in manufacturing safety and the ability to work in a lead-exposed environment with respiratory protection.

Qualifications

• Requires English language skills and safety knowledge.
• Two years of manufacturing/industrial safety or hygiene experience preferred.
• Completion of coursework toward Industrial Safety is a plus.
• Must be able to obtain OSHA 30 General Industry within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety orientations for new employees and contractors.
• Assist in developing and monitoring safety programs.
• Conduct routine inspections and audits for OSHA compliance.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain records of inspections, training, and compliance activities.
• Support delivery of EHS training sessions and awareness programs.
• Update safety procedures, policies and documentation.
