Job summary

Hanon Systems in Alabama is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to support the Plant Manager in providing a safe and healthy workplace for employees, contractors, and visitors. You will promote an EHS mindset, ensure compliance with EBOS and federal/state requirements, and drive incident investigations and corrective actions.

The role requires a degree in Safety or EHS and 3–5 years of related experience, preferably in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• College or university degree in Safety or EHS or related technical discipline.
• 3-5 years’ experience in Safety, Health and Environmental, preferred
• BA in Safety, Health and/or Environmental, Industrial Engineering, or closely related field.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote and drive the EHS mind-set and culture at the Alabama Plant as the Occupational Health & Safety Specialist.
• Monitor and maintain compliance to all applicable EBOS, Federal, state, local and other related EHS requirements.
• Prepare, maintain, and report on Monthly EHS and Energy Consumption KPI‘s per requirements.
• Assist in incident investigations, injuries, and environmental incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead and participate in EHS training and recordkeeping and participate in EHS walks with management.
