Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC's La Mirada, CA facility is seeking a Director of Operations to lead manufacturing operations for about 100 employees, with a focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The role requires translating business objectives into operational execution and developing talent and culture for long‑term success.

You will lead a high‑performing team, apply PBM principles, drive continuous improvement, and partner with cross‑functional groups to meet customer needs and grow

Qualifications

• Five or more years of leadership experience in corrugated manufacturing or similar environment.
• Experience leading salaried and hourly employees.
• Proven ability to establish and execute disciplined processes to improve operations.

Responsibilities

• Run the plant as its operations leader with ownership of safety, quality, delivery, and cost across production, maintenance, reliability, scheduling, and continuous improvement.
• Own and lead safety and build ownership, systems, and capabilities to protect everyone in the facility.
• Build and develop a principled, high-performing operations team and grow direct reports into leaders.
• Model and strengthen PBM culture with integrity, humility, and respect.
• Improve reliability, throughput, productivity, schedule attainment, and quality to reduce downtime and waste.
• Use KPIs, daily management, standard work, and root-cause problem solving to find real problems and sustain improvements.
• Partner with the plant commercial team and other groups to meet customer expectations and grow profitability.
• Evaluate and champion capital investments that create value.
• Create an environment where employees are respected, empowered, and encouraged to contribute ideas.
