Job summary

Johns Manville Corp - Berkshire Hathaway in Cleburne, TX seeks a Plant Cost Analyst to provide strong cost accounting support for a manufacturing facility and drive focus on cost reduction and productivity initiatives.

You will perform month-end close, develop BOMs and standard costs, reconcile GL accounts, forecast financials, and work with plant leadership to enable informed decisions and strategic investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Finance, Economics or related field.
• 4 years of relevant Finance or Accounting experience, including manufacturing cost accounting.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Working knowledge of SAP or ERP systems.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy and ability to interface across levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Execute full financial support for plant management to drive cost reduction and productivity initiatives.
• Conclude month-end and year-end closing activities and report results to plant leadership.
• Assist in developing plant BOMs, routings, and standard costs.
• Reconcile related general ledger accounts.
• Evaluate financials of capital spending projects.
• Drive development of plant financial operating plan and monthly forecasts.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions and investments.
• Create and improve financial processes for plant operations.
