Job summary

Milliken & Company is seeking a Plant Accountant to support the Johnston Plant in Johnston, SC and Kingsley Plant in Thomson, GA. You will report to the Advanced Finance Leader with a dotted line to the Plant Manager, driving cost control, standard costing, budgeting, and internal controls across the plants.

The role requires managing period-end closes, cost reporting, and inventory control while partnering with manufacturing and business teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Microsoft Office expertise.
• Professional accounting certification (CMA/CPA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform period-end close with accurate data and financial reporting.
• Uphold standard practices in budgeting, product costing, management reporting and forecasting.
• Maintain internal control environment with account reconciliations.
• Drive profit, ROIC, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Manage major capital and expense spending and asset management.
• Lead inventory and material cycle counts and clearings.
• Provide variance and spending analysis to Plant Manager and partners.
• Oversee finance administrative positions.
• Adhere to safety policies and corporate policies and procedures.
