Job summary

Tremco CPG Inc. is seeking a Plant Accountant at the Corsicana, TX facility to provide comprehensive financial and cost accounting support. The role partners with the Plant Controller to deliver accurate financial reporting, forecast COGS, and support cost reduction initiatives on site.

Responsibilities include month-end close, journal entries, variance analysis, budgeting, and collaborating with engineering and operations to drive efficiency while maintaining SOX and GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in commercial construction and 3 years in project management.
• 4–7 years of relevant financial experience; CPA/CMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track and review manufacturing spending; propose adjustments.
• Perform variance analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
• COGS forecasting including standard cost, PPV, and variances.
• Prepare plant reports and explain variances.
• Month-End Close and journal entries.
• Support audits and ensure GAAP/SOX compliance.
• Labor and overhead rate calculations; cost improvements.
