Job summary

Career Crunch is seeking a Corporate/Plant Finance Analyst for the Corsicana, TX chemical manufacturing site. You will partner with the Plant Controller to deliver accurate financial reporting, support cost control, and drive efficiency across inventories, costing, and month-end close.

You will analyze variances, forecast COGS, and provide insights to plant leadership to improve operational decision-making while ensuring GAAP and SOX compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in accounting or related field.
• 4–7 years relevant experience.
• SAP experience primarily in GL, Costing, Procurement and Inventory in a manufacturing environment.
• High level analytical and problem-solving skills.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Flexible, organized, and able to manage multiple projects.
• Overtime may be required for closing activities.

Responsibilities

• Track and review manufacturing spending; propose reclassification entries or accruals as necessary.
• Perform financial and manufacturing analysis including variance analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
• Provide COGS forecasting including standard cost, PPV, and manufacturing variances.
• Investigate and explain financial variances.
• Prepare plant reports including explanations of variances.
• Liaise with internal/external auditors for quarterly and annual audits.
• Manage inventory accuracy, reconciliations, and financial impact analysis.
• Perform cost runs and validate product costing working closely with Engineering.
• Analyze production and purchase price variances.
• Prepare journal entries including accruals and reclassifications.
• Reconcile accrual and prepaid accounts.
• Support audits; ensure GAAP, client CPG Policies and SOX controls.
• Review Trade and Intercompany Revenue and COGS to ensure accuracy.
• Help ensure Intercompany receivables/payables are in balance.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes.
• Calculate labor and overhead rates.
• Provide financial insights to plant leadership.
• Support operational efficiency and cost improvement projects.
• Support Corporate data requests including Government surveys and Tax requests.
