Job summary

Carl Buddig and Company is seeking a Plant Controller to lead operational accounting, cost control, and inventory integrity across its Tinley Park and Illinois plant locations. The role partners with plant leadership, operations, supply chain, IT, and corporate finance to ensure accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in manufacturing, cost/inventory accounting, and hands-on experience with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA a plus.
• 7+ years in manufacturing with cost and inventory accounting.
• Strong Excel financial modeling and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost accounting and inventory integrity across two plants.
• Partner with operations to improve cost, yield, and labor efficiency.
• Own budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate with external auditors and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Drive ERP and reporting system improvements and data governance.
