Job summary

Carl Buddig and Company seeks a Plant Controller to lead operational accounting, cost control, and inventory integrity for two Illinois facilities, split between Tinley Park corporate and Montgomery/South Holland plant locations.

The role partners with plant leadership, operations, IT, and corporate finance; requires on-site presence, strong GAAP knowledge, and a track record in cost accounting and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA a plus.
• 7+ years in manufacturing finance, cost/inventory accounting preferred.
• Strong Excel modeling and data interpretation skills.
• Experience with ERP, planning, inventory, and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site controls for cost, inventory, and financial reporting.
• Partner with plant leadership, operations, IT and corporate finance.
• Drive process improvements and system integration for accuracy.
• Coordinate audits with external auditors and ensure data integrity.
• Develop KPIs to drive cost, yield, labor efficiency and waste reduction.
