Job summary

SNAP Gourmet Foods is seeking a hands-on Plant Controller to oversee the accounting and financial activities of our manufacturing operation. You will report to the VP of Operations and Finance and collaborate with Operations, Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, and leadership to ensure accurate reporting, cost control, and strong financial governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Experience with inventory accounting and manufacturing or cost accounting; ability to analyze costs and variances.
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP/accounting systems (SAGE 100).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial reporting for the facility.
• Manage monthly close including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and timely recording of transactions.
• Oversee inventory accounting across raw materials to finished goods.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, product costs, and variances; report to management.
• Collaborate with Operations to monitor costs and provide financial insights.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Coordinate AP/AR and assist with audits and tax reporting.
• Maintain internal controls and process improvements.
