Snap-on Tools in Elkmont, Alabama seeks a Plant Controller to lead the accounting for the manufacturing plant. The role reports to the Director of Accounting and Finance elsewhere and requires directing, planning, and validating all plant accounting activities to ensure accurate monthly financial results.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Accounting (MBA preferred), 5+ years in manufacturing cost accounting, and strong knowledge of standard cost systems, budgeting, and internal

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of practical experience in a manufacturing operation, with focus in cost accounting.
• Solid knowledge of general accounting, cost accounting, purchasing, and payroll policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safeguards to assure the integrity and security of Plant Inventory and Fixed Assets; analyze plant financial results and develop budgets and forecasts.
• Direct and validate all accounting activities including labor distribution, inventories, general receipts, scrap, rework, A/P, fixed assets, and journal entries; monthly balance sheet reconciliation.
