Job summary

Brose Sitech is expanding in the US market and seeks a skilled finance professional to join the plant Controlling team in Michigan. You will own plant P&L, standard costs, variances, and month-end close activities, driving cost efficiency and accurate reporting from the shop floor to corporate dashboards.

The role emphasizes hands-on collaboration with Operations and a strong focus on budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis to support cost optimization and production planning through 2028

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive finance and manufacturing Controlling experience.
• Strong costing, budgeting, forecasting and month‑end close skills.
• Manufacturing plant controlling experience preferred in automotive suppliers.
• SAP / ERP knowledge, FI/CO and product costing valuable.

Responsibilities

• Own plant financial transparency: P&L, cost centers, KPIs and risk tracking.
• Maintain standard costs, labor and overhead rates, routings and BOM roll-ups.
• Analyze variances: material, labor, overhead, absorption, yield and productivity.
• Lead or support month‑end close, accruals, cost allocations and inventory valuation.
• Prepare monthly plant reports, dashboards, forecasts and variance commentary.
• Coordinate inventories, cycle counts and inventory accuracy improvement.
• Monitor CapEx and tooling investments; support capital approvals.
• Collaborate with Operations, Logistics, Quality, Engineering and Purchasing on corrective actions.
• Maintain data integrity in SAP/ERP and support audit readiness.

Your Tasks

• Own plant financial transparency, including manufacturing P&L, cost‑center performance, operational KPIs and financial risk/opportunity tracking
• Maintain and validate standard costs, labor rates, overhead rates, routings, BOM assumptions and cost roll‑ups
• Analyze material, labor, overhead, absorption, scrap, yield, productivity and manufacturing variances
• Lead or support plant‑related month‑end close activities, accruals, cost allocations, inventory valuation and variance postings
• Prepare monthly plant financial reports, dashboards, forecasts and variance commentary
• Coordinate or support physical inventories, cycle counts, slow‑moving inventory analysis and inventory accuracy improvement
• Monitor plant CapEx, tooling, equipment investments and capital approval packages
• Partner with Operations, Logistics, Quality, Engineering and Purchasing to define corrective actions and improve cost performance
• Maintain financial data integrity in SAP / ERP and support audit readiness

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Industrial Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years of progressive finance, controlling, accounting or cost accounting experience, including manufacturing exposure
• Strong experience with standard costing, cost accounting, inventory accounting, production variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting and month‑end close
• Manufacturing plant controlling experience; automotive supplier experience strongly preferred
• SAP / ERP knowledge; SAP FI/CO, product costing, production orders or material ledger experience highly valuable
• Ability to work directly with plant operations and spend time on the shop floor to understand operational drivers
