Job summary

The Plant Controller at ALCOM will lead cost accounting and financial reporting for the Sioux Falls, SD facility and Bonner, MT operations, partnering with plant leadership to drive profitability and operational excellence.

This role requires strong experience in standard costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing analytics, with travel to the designated plants about 20–30% of the time. CPA/CMA/MBA preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience.
• Experience with standard costing, inventory accounting, and manufacturing financial analysis.
• Multi-site manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience supporting operational leaders in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience implementing Perpetual Costing system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee plant cost accounting operations and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual plant financial statements.
• Coordinate external audits and tax reporting for the plants.
• Develop plant-level KPIs and monitor manufacturing productivity.
• Provide financial insights to plant leadership to drive cost reduction.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure analyses.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and strengthen internal controls.
