Job summary

ALCOM is seeking a Plant Controller to lead cost accounting and financial reporting for facilities in Sioux Falls, SD and Bonner, MT. You will partner with plant leadership to drive cost control, budgeting, and performance improvement.

Occasional travel is expected to manufacturing sites to ensure accurate financial data and strong internal controls. The role requires solid experience in manufacturing cost accounting, standard costing, and GAAP compliance, with a focus on improving profitability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
• Minimum 7-10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee Plant cost accounting operations, including general ledger and financial reporting.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual Plant financial statements.
• Support month-end/year-end close and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Coordinate external audits and tax reporting for the Plants.
• Lead manufacturing cost accounting activities, set standard costing, analyze variances.
• Provide financial modeling and strategic support to Plant leadership.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting with plant-level inputs.
• Maintain internal controls and ERP/perpetual costing enhancements.
