Job summary

Printpack has an opening for a Plant Controller at the Converting plant in Villa Rica, GA. You will proactively manage plant accounting functions, including oversight of accounting personnel, inventory valuations, manufacturing cost accounting, reporting/analysis, and forecasting/budgeting.

Responsibilities include protecting assets, maintaining internal controls, closing books, and providing actionable financial insights for capital investments and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent
• Public Accounting (Audit) / Manufacturing background
• Experience with large ERP systems; JD Edwards experience is a plus
• Solid cost accounting experience with extensive/complex product lines
• CPA, MBA, MACC - all a plus
• Proven track record of leading and influencing others.

Responsibilities

• Protect plant assets through the development and monitoring of internal controls.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of inventory and operational performance standards.
• Manage the monthly financial closing process, preparation and review of financial statements, and analysis of variances vs. forecast, standard, and budget.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, inventories, and customer/product profitability reporting.
• Provide financial analysis to support business decisions regarding investments in capital equipment and plant process improvements.
• Exhibit strong working knowledge of financial concepts, operational systems, and analytical tools.
• Demonstrate strong leadership presence in production and business decision-making, along with the ability to positively influence and interpret operational results.
• Effectively communicate and interact with all levels and functions of the organization.
