Job summary

The Adecco Group in Grand Rapids is recruiting a Plant Controller for a full-time role with a manufacturing client. You will oversee accounting and financial reporting, lead the month-end close, and partner with operations leadership on business decisions.

The ideal candidate holds a CPA (preferred), a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, and 6+ years leading accounting teams in manufacturing. Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and regulatory reporting is

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience leading accounting/finance teams and operations.
• Manufacturing industry experience required.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and financial reporting activities
• Lead the month-end close process and ensure accurate financials
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasts
• Analyze financial performance and help leadership understand risks/opportunities
• Improve accounting processes, reporting, and internal controls
• Coordinate external audits and regulatory reporting
• Partner closely with plant and operations leadership on business decisions
• Lead and develop the accounting team

Qualifications

• CPA preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 6+ years of experiencce leading accounting/finance teams and operations
• Manufacturing industry experience required
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and internal controls
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. This client is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa.
