Job summary

Rust-Oleum Corporation is seeking a Plant Controller to manage multi-plant financial activity and support operations and finance management. This role drives accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls across manufacturing sites, collaborating with plant managers and corporate finance.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with 3+ years in accounting/finance, preferably in manufacturing, and familiarity with SAP, HFM or OneStream.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in accounting/finance.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• SAP experience a plus.
• Experience with financial reporting tools (HFM/OneStream) is a plus.

The primary result expected from the Plant Controller will be to manage multi-plant financial activity while supporting operations and finance management.

JOB RESPONSIBILTIES:

Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.

• Report to management regarding the finances of establishment.

• Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.

• Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.

• Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting or other tax requirements.

• Maintain or examine the records of government agencies.

• Advise clients in areas such as compensation, employee health care benefits, the design of accounting or data processing systems, or long-range tax or estate plans.

• Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.

• Provide internal and external auditing services for businesses or individuals.

• Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint).

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

• 3+ years of professional experience in an accounting or finance - Preferably in a manufacturing environment

• Prior experience with SAP is a plus, but not required

• Prior experience with financial management and reporting tools (i.e. HFM, OneStream) is a plus, but not required

• Team player with the ability to collaborate across a cross-functional team

• Up to 25% travel

Salary target range: $98,000 - $140,000, bonus eligible
