Qualifications

• Vocational school or some college courses preferred.
• Knowledge and skill equivalent to high school completion with 2 years' work experience.
• Experience with water treatment and chemical analysis.
• Technical certificate and/or turbo machinery, steam and boiler certification or equivalent experience.
• Preferred certifications: Boiler and Steam System operation, Maintenance and Compressed Air System operation.
• Must be physically able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and troubleshoot power and steam generation equipment for plant-wide operations.
• Read and understand technical literature, drawings, gauges, instruments; keep logs and records.
• Operate and maintain boiler, turbine, chemical pump, and steam system components.
• Perform chemical testing and treatment of boiler water.
• Communicate effectively with other personnel and perform preventative maintenance.
