Job summary

Executive Alliance is assisting a growing, publicly-listed manufacturing company in recruiting a hands-on Assistant Controller for its Wichita metro manufacturing facility. You will manage a small onsite team and work closely with the Plant General Manager, reporting to the Corporate Controller out-of-state.

The role involves month-end close, plant-only accounting, and a key ERP migration planned for 2027. Expect a strong compensation package with bonus and equity components and a focus on cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 5+ years of accounting, reporting and analysis experience at manufacturing plants.
• 2–3 years in plant controller / accounting manager roles with ownership of manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Close monthly plant books, reconcile GL accounts and prepare accruals.
• Prepare plant P&L and balance sheet for single-plant scope.
• Oversee A/P (~200 payments/mo) and A/R (~100 invoices/mo) and payroll for 100–125 employees.
• Own revenue recognition (shipments).
• Own cost accounting including standard costing and variance analysis.
• Oversee inventory accounting with FIFO/LIFO and obsolescence reserves.
• Assist Corporate Controller with banking and audits.
• Participate in ERP migration projects and process improvements.
