Tank Holding Corporation in New York (West Babylon area) seeks a Plant Administrator to manage daily administrative operations, data entry, document management, inventory tracking, and shipping coordination. The role supports plant leadership with scheduling and inter-department communication.

The position requires proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong communication skills, and problem solving in a manufacturing setting. Two years of admin experience and a HS diploma or GED are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma or GED (required)

Responsibilities

  • Daily use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerLink) and daily data entry into corporate system.
  • Schedule LTL shipments and paperwork for shipments
  • Manage inventory of assets and supplies
  • Manage all documents and files including employee records
  • Maintain accounts payable and create purchase orders for inventory and non-inventory items.
  • Resolve day-to-day administrative and operational problems
  • Send and receive mail, packages and faxes and answer multi line phones.
  • Operate a range of office machines (copier, computer, adding machine)
  • Assist shipping department when necessary

Job Summary

The Plant Administrator is responsible for managing and supporting the daily administrative operations of the facility. This role oversees a variety of office functions including data entry, document management, inventory tracking, shipping coordination, and vendor communication. It ensures accuracy in record keeping and purchasing while maintaining smooth day-to-day operations. The position also plays a key role in supporting plant leadership by managing schedules, coordinating shipments, and facilitating internal communication across departments.
