Job summary

Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Crown Holdings, Inc., is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead cost optimization, enforce internal controls, and oversee month-end processes and payroll. You will prepare financial reports and manage accounts payable, ensuring accuracy and compliance within a manufacturing setting.

Based in Dayton, Ohio, the role oversees all accounting functions, including payroll, AP, reconciliations, and external audits, with a focus on lean,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Solid understanding of accounting concepts and GAAP.
• Experience working with an ERP system.
• Three (3) years Plant Manufacturing experience.
• Approximately 10% overnight travel.
• May occasionally need to work evening or weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare journal entries to accounts documenting business transactions
• Prepares GL Account and Bank Reconciliation
• Prepares financial statements and other reports to summarize the company's financial position
• Maintains Accounting Policy database
• Identifies control gaps, develops and implements appropriate control procedures to resolve control deficiencies
• Assists in preparation for internal and external audits
• Develop financial analysis and cost accounting skills
• Oversees payroll and AP functions
