Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. in New London, Wisconsin, is seeking a full-time Accountant to handle financial planning, analysis, and reporting for the assigned business area.

The role supports forecasts, budgeting processes, and cross-functional collaboration with Operations and HR to ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and 1+ years of related experience; experience with SAP/Workday/UKG is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 1+ years of relevant accounting or finance experience required, preferably in manufacturing or plant environment.
• Completion of Tyson Poultry F&A Trainee Program is equivalent to one year of professional experience for entry-level roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; SAP/Workday/UKG experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; may supervise clerical personnel.

Responsibilities

• Support weekly and monthly close activities.
• Report and provide insight to monthly operation results.
• Support production reporting and inventory functions.
• Report and analyze cost savings and/or cost reduction activities.
• Provide financial analysis and cost estimates for new product development or cost reductions.
• Prepare and track Capital Investment Requests (CIRs) per Tyson approval processes.
• Participate in Annual Operating Plan and assist in financial forecasts.
• Collaborate with Operations, HR, and others for alignment with policies and accurate reporting.
• Support internal and external audit activities and internal controls.
• Assist with Lean and Safety initiatives and ad hoc analysis.
