Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated in Bedford Park, IL is seeking an Accountant to support plant financials at our Argo Plant location. The role focuses on accruals, variance analysis, yield accounting, and cost reporting to ensure accurate monthly close.

You will forecast budgets, perform reconciliations, and lead process improvements while partnering with operations and finance across multiple plants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 1+ years relevant accounting/finance experience.
• Experience with ERP costing systems; SAP preferred.
• Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accrual entries and analyze plant expenditures.
• Prepare monthly variance analyses (actuals vs forecast) for production and manufacturing expenses.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and assist with SOX controls.
• Forecast and budget monthly costs across plants (fixed and variable).
• Prepare yield/corn accounting and manage supplies/packaging adjustments.
