Job summary

AGI is seeking a Plant Accountant to support manufacturing finance, inventory reconciliation, and month-end close processes. You will collaborate with production, finance, and project management teams to ensure accurate general ledger activity and timely reporting, while maintaining a detail-focused, team-oriented work ethic.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• Minimum of 3 years accounting experience (preferably in a plant).
• Experience reconciling inventory.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Experience reviewing & analyzing G/L transactions and preparing journal entries and reconciliations.
• Must be meticulous, detail-oriented, and dependable.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and easily adapt to new and changing situations.
• Self-Starter with an eagerness to problem solve.
• Good interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and works well within teams.
• Maintain accuracy while working with a large volume of data.

Summary:

The Plant Accountant will work with the production, finance and project management teams to support all aspects of the Company’s manufacturing financial operation. They will reconcile the inventory accounts and review material usage each month to identify potential issues and resolve, as necessary. They will also reconcile other accounts, prepare journal entries and ad hoc reporting, as necessary. The following skillsets are required: strong written and verbal communications, excellent analytical ability, the ability to effectively multi-task while maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude, as well as the ability to consistently meet reporting and month-end close deadlines.
