Job summary

Soni's client in Lebanon, PA seeks a Plant Accountant to oversee the financial operations of its U.S. manufacturing facility. The role reports to the Chief Accountant and supports IFRS reporting, U.S. GAAP compliance, and the annual budgeting process.

The successful candidate will manage month-end close, financial reporting packages, intercompany accounting, and cost accounting activities in a fast-paced environment. A strong Excel and SAP FI/CO background is required, with CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• Experience managing month-end close processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Manufacturing and/or cost accounting experience preferred.
• Experience supporting multinational organizations preferred.
• IFRS reporting preferred.
• CPA or CPA-track preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of accounting records.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare financial reporting packages for corporate headquarters.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Oversee accounts payable, vendor payments, AR, and cash application.
• Monitor collections and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
• Support inventory valuation, manufacturing accounting, and cost accounting.
• Analyze production costs and operational performance to support decisions.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS reporting, and internal controls.

Plant Accountant

Reporting to the Chief Accountant at the company's global headquarters, this individual will manage day-to-day accounting activities, ensure compliance with U.S. accounting standards and tax requirements, support IFRS reporting, and serve as the primary financial liaison between the U.S. operation and corporate finance. Responsibilities of the Plant Accountant:
