Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Over four (4) years of experience as a building inspector or plans examiner.
• ICC certification for Building Plans Examiner.
• South Carolina license eligibility at employment time.

Responsibilities

• Perform plan reviews for construction projects within the City of Greenville.
• Conduct field inspections to verify compliance and communicate findings to contractors.
• Provide customer service and assist with permit and plan review inquiries across departments.
• Create and maintain plan review data in the data management system; update standard comments.
