You will coordinate with Planning, Engineering, and other departments and advise builders, contractors, and homeowners on permit requirements and code interpretations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Plans Examiner Certifications preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience in reviewing building plans and enforcing codes is essential.
• Strong knowledge of residential and commercial code interpretations.

Responsabilités

• Review plan specifications and calculations to ensure code compliance.
• Coordinate projects with Building Official, Planning, Engineering and other departments.
• Answer inquiries from builders, contractors, and homeowners regarding permit and code requirements.
• Verify permit valuations and related fees; assist with reports and data collection.
• Maintain records and interpret ordinances, codes, and regulations.
